Going To New Heights… In Helicopters

Tech Safety Lines is helping commercial helicopters improve their rescue procedures and satisfy a new requirement for emergency escape. TSL’s experts designed a custom escape solution to meet 14 CFR 29.809 (f) (h) and (i).

Additionally, this product had to pass a FAA test in which 20 participants had 90 seconds to bail out of a helicopter laying on its side, in a dark environment. Our product passed the test and was approved for use.

While older helicopter models have been “grandfathered’ into this new requirement, this regulation does impact new commercial designs moving forward. We are excited to help meet the needs of this industry and to make commercial helicopter travel safer for all.
