Evacuation & Self-Rescue Training: Water Tower

This course from Tech Safety Lines focuses on evacuation and self-rescue for water tower workers, using the SRK-11® and SRK-15® kits. It covers pre-emergency planning, kit preparation, anchor selection, escape, and emergency egress, including evacuation of incapacitated co-workers. Suitable for workers on water towers, the class emphasizes hands-on experience with various emergency scenarios.

Tech Safety Lines | Evacuation & Self-Rescue Training: Water Tower

Designed for workers on water towers, this Evacuation & Self-Rescue Training course concentrates on the various usages of the SRK-11® (ANSI certified self-rescue kit) or SRK-15®  (CE certified self-rescue kit) in the event of an emergency.

Each student will have to inspect and operate the dual-brake personal lowering device, as well as adjust the self-rescue kit to his or her own body-weight in order to keep the kit event-ready in case of an emergency.

Each student must have appropriate PPE, including a full body harness, dual leg lanyard and any personal fall protection devices normally used.

Course Overview

The majority of this class is held on an elevated structure. After becoming comfortable with the simple processes used with the SRK-15®, students will perform and participate in several simulated escape and rescue scenarios.
